**About the Role;**
We are looking for talented team members who are passionate about observability, event intelligence and providing service insights & solutions that enable availability, scalability and reliability of our Always On customer facing technology.
You will be tasked with providing the metrics and framework that drive forward performance, availability and resilience of the platform, cultivating excellent operational practices and identifying automation opportunities.
You will have the unique opportunity to help drive operational excellence at WooliesX, supporting our talented and diverse teams by providing an always evolving and continuously improving event intelligence framework
**Responsibilities**:
- Drive service reliability by ensuring metrics, system and customer events are translated into accurate and informative alerts.
- Work collaboratively to ensure event intelligence best practices are maintained and set our teams up to achieve service outcomes.
- Measure and report on operational readiness of teams, MTTD, MTTR, alert outcomes and drive continuous evolution of event intelligence through implementation and tuning of informative and accurate alerts
- Share your knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and evangelising event intelligence best practices.
- Maintain the integrity of end to end integration and service mapping of Application Performance Management (APM) tools with PagerDuty, ensuring alerts are triggered through to ITSM platform and automation touchpoints.
- Roll out new tools, technologies and processes that have high business impact and are used by multiple teams to improve reliability and velocity and we drive continual improvement.
**Requirements**:
- Experience with being responsible for service outcomes across a range of teams, measuring responsiveness, MTTD, MTTR, SLA adherence, driving continuous improvement and accurate reporting on service outcomes.
- Understanding of Event Intelligence best practice including hands-on experience with onboarding and maintaining users, escalation policies and schedules in PagerDuty is beneficial.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with experience developing and instilling a culture of operational maturity.
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
