An exciting opportunity to join our team and play an important role in Respect Victoria. The Business Support Officer will provide general administrative and business support including ‘helpdesk’ style support to the organisation, to ensure that the organisation can carry its business most effectively. This includes generalist administrative and business support, including basic IT desktop support and troubleshooting, office administration, financial administration, accounts payable, and event management including room bookings, and catering.

**Respect Victoria**
Respect Victoria is a Statutory Authority under the Prevention of Family Violence Act 2018 (the Act). Respect Victoria, by its establishment fulfils Recommendation 188 of the Royal Commission into Family Violence. Respect Victoria will deliver on the commitments legislated in the Act and the objectives outlined in Free from Violence: Victoria's strategy to prevent family violence and all forms of violence against women. Respect Victoria is governed and led by a skills-based Board and Chief Executive Officer.
**Knowledge and Skills**
- Verbal communication: confidently conveys ideas and information in a clear and interesting way; understands and meets the needs of target audiences (the right information to the right people); welcomes constructive feedback; sees things from other's points of view and confirms understanding
- Advanced computer skills: Proficient with Windows 10; confidence using full Office 365 suite including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
- Problem-solving: seeks all relevant information for problem-solving; investigates and probes for the facts; liaises with stakeholders; analyses issues from different perspectives and draws sound inferences from information available; identifies and proposes workable solutions to problems
- Planning and organising: identifies processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal; prioritises critical activities and delivers on business as usual activities in a timely way, reviewing and adjusting as required; develops and implements systems and procedures to guide work and track progress; recognises barriers and finds effective ways to deal with them
- Finance processing: Demonstrated experience creating purchase orders and processing invoices in a financial management system. Experience using Oracle is preferred, however is not a pre-requisite
- IT proficiency: You will be the first point-of-contact for support queries by troubleshooting and resolving basic system-related issues and escalate cases to relevant technical teams and communicate progress and outcomes to individual staff
