- As part of the Family Services Business and Operations Unit, the Business Support Officer provides high quality administrative support to the Community and City Services Division as required. The position undertakes customer facing reception duties and appointment booking, provides facilities support and offers advice and service to external parties and the general public on behalf of Community Wellbeing. A customer centric focus with exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- The Business Support Officer will complete all activities in a professional, efficient, confidential and courteous manner within a continuous improvements and service excellence environment.

**Selection Criteria**:
All City of Melbourne employees will demonstrate an ability to articulate and demonstrate benefits of positive culture and values.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative and have good multi-tasking and problem solving skills.
- Highly developed customer service skills and demonstrated ability to be professional, assertive, and courteous while maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently and efficiently with members of the community and staff from across the organisation.
- Experience in administration and business support and knowledge/ experience of general office systems including Office 365 suite, knowledge sharing and database management
- Be a team player and work collaboratively within a team environment supporting productive relationships with people at all levels
