**The Role**
The APS 6 Administration Manager provides high-level administrative support in the Executive Team of the Office of the Defence Seaworthiness Regulator (ODSwR). They work within a small team to deliver critical enabling services in a fast-paced environment. The role includes delegation and management of tasks to a shared staff resource.

In this role you will:

- Manage and execute workforce planning, recruitment, and organisational change activities within the branch;
- Manage administration of the external Independent Seaworthiness Management Review (ISwMR) panel, including scheduling and monitoring review progress, providing support to the team, and managing the administration requirements of a Defence Reserve workforce;
- Act as the ISwMR secretariat, including drafting of minutes, agendas and executive briefs, and;
- Liaise with senior executives both Civilian and Military employees on Independent Seaworthiness Management Reviews (ISwMR).
- Prepare reports, minutes and briefs aligning with Defence writing standards.

You would achieve these outcomes by:

- Working as part of a small multidisciplinary team to achieve results and contribute to the culture of the organization;
- Communicating with influence, and producing high-quality and accurate written products tailored to the audience, and;
- Monitoring and tracking multiple concurrent activities, planning and tracking details and outcomes.

**About our Team**
The Office of the Defence Seaworthiness Regulator (ODSwR) is an independent Defence Regulator. The ODSwR is tasked with managing the Defence Seaworthiness Management System (DSwMS), a Defence-wide maritime risk management system.

It does this through:

- Scanning the maritime environment and advocating on behalf of Defence;
- Providing a regulatory framework to manage maritime risks;
- Assuring maritime risks are proactively considered and controlled;
- Monitoring trends across the Defence Enterprise, and;
- Providing support to the Defence maritime community through education and advice.
- Working as part of a small multidisciplinary team to achieve results and contribute to the culture of the organisation.
- Communicating with influence, and producing high quality and accurate written products tailored to the audience.
- Monitoring and tracking multiple concurrent activities, planning and tracking details and outcomes.
