**About The Role**:
The ICT Team in DTI is a nimble function that provides holistic technical support to an Agency punching above its weight in delivering outcomes for South Australia. We work in close partnership with other agencies that provide central services across SA government, and we have a reputation for pushing the boundaries of the available technology to continually improve our internal service delivery.

Currently, there is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual who has excellent people skills, a passion for coaching team members and demonstrated technical knowledge in the successful execution of ICT operations and initiatives.

The Technical Business Engagement Lead will be responsible for determining a shared understanding of complex, often loosely defined problems, and prioritising, implementing and evolving solutions in alignment with both technical and business strategies. You will be an enthusiastic coordinator and facilitator of communities of practice regarding the department’s core technology solutions, taking a hands-on approach with scoping and light-to-moderate configuration, and marshalling delivery partners around more complex developments. In parallel, as the second-in-command of the ICT function, you will be accountable for overseeing and personally delivering a range of specialist ICT services, and providing advice and support to facilitate, influence and ensure the successful planning, design, implementation, adoption and ongoing evolution of ICT products and services.

The Technical Business Engagement Lead will also have responsibility of overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Departments Helpdesk and providing coaching and high level procedural continuous improvement guidance.

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge across the following key capabilities:

- Expert generalist ICT capability: a willingness and ability to perform multiple concurrent roles, with a high degree of overall skill
- Confidence with the Microsoft M365 product stack, and sufficient knowledge and capability to lead ongoing product management and communities of practice related to SharePoint in particular
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Design and analysis capabilities especially regarding pre-project activities such as problem definition and pragmatic project scoping
- A proactive approach to consultation, tenacity in uncovering and addressing root cause issues, and a propensity to getting hands-on with technical solutions
- Managing and or Coaching a small team of Technical Support / Help Desk Officers

**Qualifications**:

- Completed tertiary studies in Information technology, software engineering or a related discipline

**Special Conditions**:

- Successful applicants will be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years
- Willingness to cover for other roles as far as possible in a small multidisciplinary ICT team (including management, coordination etc)
- Out of hours work, intrastate and interstate travel may be required
- Understands and complies with information security policies and procedures to ensure information is kept confidential and utilised accurately and reliably

**Remuneration**:

- ASO8 -$115,817 min -$120,189 max
