**Technical Officer**:

Reporting to our Technical Team Lead, the Technical Officer is responsible for the delivery of Engineering and Maintenance Services. This includes managing the relationships with Operating Units, RAAF Mechanical Equipment and Operational Maintenance Section (MEOMS), Joint Logistics Command (JLC) and Other Commonwealth Contractors.
- Some of your key responsibilities will include:_
- Analyse engineering change requests and develop engineering changes.
- Manage the configuration baseline of GSE assets and ensure publications and maintenance policy reflect the current approved status of maintenance plans, schedules, maintenance venues and authorised parts.
- Manage the corrective maintenance of GSE assets beyond the capability of ADF repair venues with 3rd party providers.
- Monitor and audit the maintenance for GSE conducted by external maintenance providers and new and pre-existing Commonwealth contracts.
**About you**
Essential:
- Successful completion of a technical type certificate/qualification
- Experience in a Technical Assessing type role.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical data.
- Demonstrable ability to use initiative and prioritise workload.
- Demonstrated experience within the Defence/Defence Industry would be advantageous / highly regarded
Desirable:
- Knowledge of MILIS and the MMM Module.
- An understanding of Maintenance Requirements Determination and Logistics Support Analysis in the Defence environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical data.
- An understanding of Australian Air Publication (AAP) system and amendment procedures.
- Experience working within a System Program Office (SPO) type environment.
