Employee Communications Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced communications professional to spearhead our Employee Experience function. This pivotal role will lead a high performing team to connect and engage all employees in the delivery of RBA’s purpose, strategic priorities and values to drive culture change and support an exceptional employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development: Design and deliver an internal communications strategy that enhances the employee experience, connect staff with the RBA’s purpose and supports the implementation of the Banks’s strategic priorities.- Engagement Initiatives: Lead the development and execution of a series of impactful employee engagement campaigns throughout the year.- Enhance Employee Experience: Develop and execute timely communication plans to equip staff with the information they need to do their jobs, that build a sense of belonging and support the RBAs open and dynamic culture.- Change Communication: Collaborate with Strategic Project Manager and Leadership Comms Manager to support bank-wide change initiatives, focusing on culture, risk management, and governance.- Evaluation Metrics: Lead the creation of metrics to gauge the effectiveness of internal events and campaigns, driving continuous improvement.- Build Resources: Provide RBA leaders with essential communication tools and training, enhancing the overall employee experience.- One Bank: Build strong connections across the bank to drive implementation of bank-wide strategic priorities and change initiatives.- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a top-tier communications team, setting clear objectives, sharing context, and managing priorities and resources.- Cultural Alignment: Cultivate a workplace culture that mirrors RBA’s values, fostering high engagement and achievement in an open and dynamic environment.- Operational Management: Maintain accountability for managing personnel, budget, and processes, ensuring top-notch communication activities both internally and externally.- Policy Development: Aid in the advancement of policies, systems, and protocols, maintaining the integrity and relevance of communications.- Risk Management: Proactively address communication-related risks and opportunities, establishing robust processes to uphold the Bank’s standards.
Capabilities & Experience:
- A background in crafting and executing strategic communication plans and employee engagement programs.- Proficiency in utilising a variety of communication channels to represent an organization effectively.- A wealth of experience in designing, managing, and assessing the impact of internal events and campaigns.- Robust project management skills, ensuring the delivery of successful outcomes.- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.- Experience in leading a dedicated team of communication experts, fostering growth and driving performance.- Competence in measuring team impact and translating insights into actionable strategies for future campaigns.
