**SEC Newgate Engage** focuses on community engagement and participation. We assist our clients to work constructively with project neighbours, stakeholders, and the wider community, using innovative and best practice engagement tools. We are looking for an **entry-level or graduate applicant** to join our Sydney Engage team. This is a **paid full-time role**, but we’re open to part-time arrangements if you’re still studying.

We're looking for capable, organised people to help us with **projects**. These include opportunities to assist with targeted stakeholder research and analysis, bid and tender responses and undertake in-house client work delivering high-profile projects in infrastructure and other sectors as part of multi-disciplinary teams.

**Job tasks and responsibilities**:

- Assisting senior colleagues in providing services for a multitude of projects
- Conducting desktop research, media analysis, note taking, initial drafting and logistics support
- Assisting with compiling more standard elements of proposals and tenders, (eg, team biographies, case studies, company details, proofing, etc.)
- Maintaining and updating stakeholder databases
- Coordinating project meetings, events, site tours, inspections
- Liaising with clients, Newgate teams and stakeholders to plan engagement programs and consider issues
- Facilitating community sessions and discussions
- In-house representation of the firm at client premises, working with the client and its contractors to deliver project communication, including reviewing strategies, materials, and tactics
- Working in a dynamic role on a myriad of tasks, juggling different projects and workloads effectively

**Key skills and attributes required**:

- Tertiary qualified in engagement, communications, or a related discipline
- Any experience in community engagement/stakeholder relations is desirable but we are happy to consider a graduate or near graduate level
- Strong writing, influencing, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in building solid relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success
- IAP2 Certificate in Engagement (not compulsory but desirable)
