LET’S EXPLORE THE ROLE Lead Australia's Mission-Critical Public Safety Network BAI is seeking an exceptional executive to lead the operations and strategic growth of the NSW Public Safety Network – a 700+ site P25 radio network that keeps communities safe 24/7/365.> This isn't just another telecom leadership role. You'll be: - Commanding real impact – Your decisions directly protect emergency responders and the communities they serve during bushfires, floods, and major incidents - Leading diverse, high-performing teams – Direct a multidisciplinary organisation spanning technical experts, frontline network operators and business development specialists - Leading at scale – Full P&L accountability with a pathway to expand nationally - Shaping the future – Position BAI as the partner of choice for state governments looking to modernise critical communications infrastructure - Building something replicable – Create operating models and capabilities that will deploy across Australia What You’ll Lead - Operational Excellence : Maintain >99.99% network availability across mission‑critical infrastructure supporting Police, Fire, Ambulance, SES, and RFS - Team Leadership : Lead a team of high‑calibre experts including engineers, 24/7 NOC operators and commercial managers - Crisis Leadership : Take command during natural disasters and major incidents, coordinating your team and emergency response efforts with state agencies - Strategic Growth : Drive contract renewals and position BAI for the future - Capability Building : Develop specialised P25/broadband expertise and scalable frameworks for national expansion Your Background You bring deep expertise in public safety communications, 24x7 NOC environments, and government stakeholder management, with a proven track record of: - Leading cross‑functional teams and developing talent - Delivering excellence in telecommunications/critical communications - Managing mission‑critical technology experience - Executive‑level relationship management with state/federal agencies Why This Matters Australia needs resilient, modern critical communications infrastructure.
