**The opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Payroll officer. In this role you will report to our Senior Payroll Officer and be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of the weekly payroll for approx. 200 people.

**About the role**:

- Processing weekly pays
- Maintaining employee data base & payroll records
- Entering employee timesheets - hours & job costing
- Entering and recording labour hire timesheets
- Setup of new employees
- Processing pay adjustments
- Termination calculations and payments
- Assist with month end reporting
- Taking and responding to payroll queries
- Develop skills to be able to interpret awards/agreements and contracts
- Liaising with employees and management on payroll matters
- Ad hoc duties as directed by the Senior Payroll Officer

- Some previous Payroll and Time and Attendance systems experience.
- Experience with COINS would be desirable, but not a requirement.
- Some knowledge of Payroll legislation, regulations and practices across Australia.
- Highly developed analytical and numeracy skills.
- High standard of communication & interpersonal skills, at all levels.
- Sound planning and organisational skills.
- Good computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Professional and ethical approach in maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Attention to detail, reliability and flexibility.
