Claims Operations Manager - Full Time

We are currently looking for a Claims Operations Manager to join Sedgwick's Professional Services Division in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. This is a newly created role leading our teams of claims support colleagues.

Primary Purpose of the role

In the role you’ll be responsible for leading the national claims support team for PSD to deliver exceptional standards of excellence across - people, performance, service, client outcomes, portfolio growth, governance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and manage the delivery of exceptional claims outcomes for clients, including effective allocation, service, quality assurance, achievement of SLA’s, timely closure and client satisfaction
- Timely response to escalations from stakeholders within the business
- Ensure effective resource planning and portfolio allocation and forecasting, including proactive development of capability to meet seasonal resourcing and geographical portfolio requirements.
- Accountable for client reporting, engagement, contractual obligations delivery, feedback and issues resolution.
- Drive the development of internal solutions to satisfy client requests
- Effective financial management of national/regional and individual revenue targets, billings, time recording, expenses and utilization
- Work closely with Operations team in Professional Services to streamline processes.
- Increase capability of claims support team through training, coaching, feedback, mentoring and Quality assurance processes
- Attract and retain best in class talent, working with the Professional Services, Recruitment and CR teams.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a similar position
- Current knowledge and demonstrated experience in managing property claims
- Wide knowledge of the insurance market (claims lifecycle) including the legislative framework, applicable codes, and products
- Deep understanding of client requirements as it relates to outsourced business processes and functions
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (for example, Business, Insurance or Law)
- ANZIIF Qualification in Loss Adjusting (Preferable)
