**About the Role**
- Are you passionate about life insurance and dedicated to delivering exceptional service? As a **Claims Manager**, you’ll act as a trusted advocate for claimants, ensuring their needs are prioritised throughout the claims process. Managing Life, TPD, Trauma, and IP claims with fairness, precision, and empathy, you’ll foster strong relationships with clients, insurers, and employer groups. This role offers the flexibility of **remote working**, enabling you to champion clients' best interests while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Advocate for Claimants**: Represent clients’ best interests throughout the claims lifecycle, ensuring they receive fair and accurate outcomes.
- Manage claims across Life, TPD, Trauma, and IP benefits, providing seamless support from notification to closure.
- Act as the main point of contact for claimants, their representatives, and beneficiaries, offering timely and empathetic assistance.
- Critically assess claims decisions by reviewing medical and financial evidence to identify potential benefits and advocate for fair resolutions.
- Conduct claim pre-assestments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurer claims teams and employer group clients to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, upholding claimants’ rights while ensuring accuracy in claims data and records.
- Collaborate with the Head of Claims to align assessments with organisational philosophy and support complex claims when escalation is required.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance outcomes for claimants and improve claims management processes.
**What We’re Looking For**
- At least **5 years’ experience in life insurance claims management**, with at least **2 years at a senior claims assessor level**.
- Proven ability to influence outcomes and advocate effectively on behalf of claimants.
- Demonstrated success in building meaningful, trust-based relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- A proactive, service-oriented approach with a strong commitment to claimant satisfaction.
- Goal-oriented, driven, and self-motivated, with a passion for continuous improvement.
