- Inventory Admin OfficerThe role: Inventory Admin Officer To maintain the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data and systems. The primary responsibility of this position is to update and manage the inventory Masterfile, ensuring that its information is accurate at all times to enable all systems to use this data in generating sales, managing customer deliveries, purchasing, reception and transferring of goods and to enable branches to effectively manage their inventory. We believe in “One Team, One Way, One LYNDONS.” This position will be based at our Salisbury Office.
**Responsibilities include**:
Inventory Masterfile Management:
- Regularly update and maintain the inventory Masterfile with accurate data, including but not limited to item descriptions, quantities, prices, and supplier information.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure data integrity, resolving any discrepancies or errors promptly.
- Follow up on any team member inventory Masterfile queries in a timely manner.
Record Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of all inventory transaction sand changes in product specifications, details, vendors etc.
- Document reasons for any updates or changes to the inventory Masterfile, maintaining a clear audit trail.
Inventory Control:
- Collaborate with the Category Manager to implement inventory control practices, including setting reorder points, managing safety stock levels, and optimizing stock turnover rates.
- Participate in regular physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports from the inventory management system to provide insights into inventory levels, trends, and performance.
- Analyse inventory data to identify opportunities for cost savings, stock reduction, or process improvements.
Data Accuracy:
- Implement data accuracy measures to minimize errors in the inventory Masterfile, ensuring that it aligns with actual stock levels.
- Troubleshoot and rectify data discrepancies as they arise.
**Workplace Health and Safety**
Take responsibilities on behalf of the organisation, but must also comply with requirements as workers, including:
- Ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures
- Maintain relevant knowledge of WHS issues
- Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours
**To be considered for this role you will need**:
**Essentialskills/experience**
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic inventory management software.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective organization skills for managing and tracking inventory items.
- Basic analytical skills to analyse inventory data entry.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Desire to learn inventory.
