**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Orrcon Steel team as a **Purchasing Officer** based in our Salisbury (Brisbane) office. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.

You will play an integral role in co-ordinating and supporting purchasing and inventory management activities to support both your colleagues and our valued customers. You will establish and maintain mutually successful relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors, supporting the business to maintain a cost competitive position. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your agility and superior customer service skills and collaborate across functions.

**This is a 12-month fixed term contract.** You’ll be working Monday to Friday between the operational hours of 7am to 4pm.

This opportunity includes a competitive remuneration package including our profit share plan (bonus incentive scheme). **What Will You Do?**

Being in a dynamic environment, your motivation and ability to think on your feet will result in achieving customer success. Being the ‘go-to’ person, you’ll:

- maintain the service contracts for the services of the manufacturing site
- work along with finance for new suppliers and contractors for system set up
- maintain store-system for consumable store items including analysing store replenishment, placing orders and handle invoice queries/issues as they arise
- resolve issues effectively and efficiently to ensure a positive customer experience
- assist with general storeperson duties where required
