An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Designer to join a dynamic team at Commonry.

This role will be responsible for the sourcing, development and ranging of the

Womenswear range. This includes liaising with external suppliers, sourcing products from local and overseas suppliers and conducting seasonal buys.

**IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED TO**:

- Source, range and in conjunction with the Creative Director & Planner, quantify the apparel collection across all categories, ensuring that the product mix is balanced
- Communicate and liaise with factories, suppliers and agents in order to develop and produce required product
- Maximise sales within season by reordering bestsellers as required and maintaining stock of key lines
- Attend and participate in fit sessions - including directing & communicating 1st fit comments
- Work with the Planner & Creative Director, to achieve sales budgets, gross profit margin budgets, markdown targets and closing stocks
- Work with the production team to negotiate best possible costs with factories, suppliers and agents in order to achieve first margin targets

**THE PERFECT FIT**:

- Tertiary qualification or prior experience in Design/Product Development
- 5 Years in a similar role
- Advanced skill level of Adobe suite
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills
- Strong Fabric and technical knowledge
- Problem solving skills & strong Attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and deadline driven
