About the role

Service Stream’s Telecommunications Division are currently seeking a Designer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for using your expert knowledge on current NBN design guidelines across multiple architecture types to support the leadership team, design and the project team at large.

Location: Flexible

Reports to: Design Team Lead

Basis: Permanent, full-time

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for some of the following:

- Create designs that are up to nbn specifications and standards (pre-scope/design/as-built).
- Quality assurance of pre-scope/design/as-built.
- ADR/GML duct reservations.
- Communication with relevant stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner.
- Resolving defects and rejections.
- Providing technical guidance to ensure the timely delivery of cost-efficient and quality designs on NBN projects.
- Troubleshoot onsite queries and provide a resolution

Skills and Experience
- Prior experience with nbn projects
- Experience working in AutoCAD/SpatialNET (PNI) and MapInfo
- Preferred experience in running GMLs and Reserving network via ADR
- Ability to resolve/troubleshoot complex design and construction queries
- Experience in NBN Design including FTTX, FTTN, HFC and MDU
- Experience in Business Segment (ODM) - GPON/EE sites
