**The Role**
The Ministerial Liaison Officers will be accountable under broad direction to perform complex activities to support the management of ministerial and parliamentary business for Air Force within an integrated workforce, provide support to the Senior Executive, and exercise a high degree of discretion, judgement and professionalism.
The role encompasses both coordination and advisory functions, including:
- Coordinating parliamentary and ministerial services, including quality assurance of submissions and correspondence.
- Assisting in coordination of briefing material for appearances at Senate Estimates hearings and responses to questions taken on notice.
- Supporting responses to members of the public.
- Maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and
- Providing sound and considered advice to stakeholders.
**About our Team**
The Directorate of Strategic Issues Management (DSIM) provides critical support to Air Force's Senior Leadership Team by advising on significant strategic and sensitive matters to inform their decisions and engaging with Defence Ministers and members of the public.
The Ministerial Liaison Office works to support the DSIM function by providing focussed expertise in the management of parliamentary and ministerial matters.
