As the APS 6 Contracting Officer for LC4S Branch Above The Line (ATL) contractor workforce, you will manage multiple vendor contractual arrangements across all projects and products, including two large long-term Integrated Work Partners (IWP) Contracts with two Major Service Providers.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders enabling productive liaison in relation to contract management;
- Understand and prepare contractual documents and conduct contract management activities
- Identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve Branch outcomes
- Maintain a detailed understanding of relevant frameworks, legislation, policies and procedures
- As required and determined by operational requirements you will be assisting the wider Branch headquarters team with wide ranging corporate business as usual tasks, including coordination, governance and support elements.

The additional payment is a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP) which enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the rate of salary otherwise payable under the Enterprise Agreement (EA) to some or all of the jobs within a critical occupation(s) or discipline within a workplace. Applicants engaged into a BDCP position must consider the following. BDCPs provide remuneration in addition to the Defence Enterprise Agreement (EA).

You will have knowledge or experience in the delivery of support systems in the CASG materiel logistics environment, Defence Logistics functions or similar organisations including the Supply Chain Aspects of Logistics.

Key attributes and experience we are looking for:

- Experience working in and/or providing support to Integrated Logistics Support management and legislative frameworks;
- Demonstrated ability to establish clear plans and timeframes and be able to respond positively to change and uncertainty.
- A confident communicator, who is collaborative, agile and can effectively manage within an integrated team environment.
- Sound commercial and business acumen and a demonstrated understanding of the Defence Industry sector in Australia.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to liaise with various levels of stakeholders in relation to complex issues.
- A team leader who values team work and performs well in a diverse and integrated environment.
