**The Role**
The APS 6 Business Team Leader will work under the guidance of the Business Manager to provide administration support across the Landing Craft Branch. The Business Team Leader will support the Business Manager by assisting with a wide range of business activities including task coordination and management through the House of Governance reporting tool, security, records management, corporate reporting, and a wide variety of business planning and improvement initiatives.

You will have an in-depth knowledge of coordination and administration functions and provide advice and guidance to the Director General Landing Craft Branch and the Branch.

The applicant will require:

- Excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise, collaborate, build and maintain productive relationships within the Branch, Division and across Defence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines are essential.
- Being adept at providing strategic advice to senior management and stakeholders as well as leading work that may have strategic, political or reputational significance.
- Excellent attention to detail and experience preparing high quality written material, including Ministerial briefings and correspondence.
- Sound judgement skills, with the ability to research, critically evaluate and synthesise information into considered advice.
- Ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-moving environment and work independently and as part of a team.

**About our Team**
Landing Craft Branch is accountable for the continuous development and delivery of all minor and specialist maritime vessels/boats and patrol boats. Landing Craft Branch comprises professionals from various disciplines including project management and engineering. This multi-disciplinary Branch is composed of highly skilled and motivated Australian Public Service, ADF and contracted personnel.
