**Operational Communications Officer**
The NSW RFS is seeking call centre operators to assist with dispatch and movement of emergency fire service resources.

- Location: Sydney Olympic Park (NSW RFS State Headquarters)
Our Operational Communications Centre receives a high volume of calls a year and operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
You will be responsible for receiving, interpreting and responding to emergency and routine calls for assistance, such as fire related incidents, motor vehicle accidents and oil spills. The team operate the Bush Fire Information Line and AIDER support program requests.
This requires dissemination of relevant information, dispatching appropriate resources and monitoring responses to incidents through effective telephone and radio communication and data entry.
**Salary**:
- Full-time ongoing salary range of $67,975 - $73,901 per annum, plus 10.5% superannuation. In addition to salary, the role also attracts a shift penalty allowance of 26.14%.
- Casual hourly salary range of $37.22 to $40.46 per hour, plus 10.5% superannuation, plus casual loading.
Our centre can accommodate a team of up to 25 operators, who work on a varied and rotating roster, which includes night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
**Ongoing Operators**:Ongoing operators work 35 hours per week on a varied and rotating roster. A standard shift pattern is 12 hours and may start from:
- Day shift 6am to 6pm
- Night shift 6pm to 6am
- Swing shift - As required
**Casual Operators**:Our casual operators have access to our rostering system app where available shifts will be posted.
Secure parking is available on site for operators, however our headquarters is a short walk to train and bus services. Privately owned café and childcare facility operate on the ground floor of the building located at 4 Murray Rose Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park.
