Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced **HR Manager** to lead the Human Resources function across Australia and New Zealand. This is a true HR generalist role supporting both retail and corporate teams, with end-to-end responsibility for the employee lifecycle.
In this role, you'll align closely with our client’s global HR strategy while adapting to local business needs. You will play a pivotal role in delivering HR initiatives that support strategic business goals, ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation and promote a positive and high-performance workplace culture.
**The Role**
- Partner with business leaders to deliver strategic and operational HR support
- Manage employee relations, performance issues, and compliance across ANZ
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent pipeline development
- Lead performance management, reviews, and local training initiatives
- Support compensation processes, including salary reviews and benefits
- Maintain HR systems (Workday) and provide HR data insights
- Drive engagement, DE&I, and wellbeing programs
- Oversee WHS compliance, training, and incident management
**The Person**
- 5+ years of HR generalist experience in a fast-paced, multi-site environment (retail or fashion highly regarded)
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and the General Retail Industry Award
- Experience with New Zealand employment law is highly desirable
- Proven ability to manage complex ER cases with professionalism and confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and hands-on approach
- HRIS experience (Workday preferred)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related discipline
