We are one of Australia’s leading conference and events resorts, catering for large scale events, of up to 1500 guests. Our impressive 24 metre LED screen combined with high-end & versatile conference and event facilities, makes our property a leading location for events. **About the Opportunity**
Are you a passionate and dynamic professional with a flair for creating unforgettable events? Join our Sales & Events team, where your creativity and organisational expertise will bring conferences to life. As the Conference & Events Manager you will lead the planning, coordination and execution of all events from beginning to end. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless operations, exceeding client expectations and delivering memorable experiences.

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, your key responsibilities include:
- Provide effective operational leadership to achieve the business objectives & customer service standards- Lead a high performing team of C&E Coordinators and Administrators- Manage the team workload, leave, training, reward & recognition, feedback, recruitment, counselling and performance development- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including AV, suppliers, contractors and clients, understanding their vision and tailoring events to their needs- Allocate events and ensure operational staff are fully briefed of the client needs for each event- Plan, organise and oversee events from inception to completion- Trouble shoot and resolve any issues during the event, ensuring client satisfaction- Conduct post event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement- Develop and manage events budgets ensuring cost effective solutions whilst maintaining quality- Attend meetings, prepare reports, manage budget and the business planning process- Lead by example and foster a positive values driven workplace culture- Participate in the weekend Manager on Duty program
**What you’ll need to be successful**- Previous experience as an Event Manager in a 4-5 star hotel/resort, Convention Centre, or similar environment- Demonstrated management experience leading a team to promote morale & to encourage teamwork- Tertiary qualification in in event, hospitality or tourism, desirable- Availability and flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends outside of regular hours-
- Passion and knowledge of hotels, C&E, service excellence and industry trends- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills- Active listening, critical thinking and problem-solving skills- Strong attention to detail, organisational, time management and multitasking skills- Ability to meet tight deadlines, work under pressure and in a busy and large fast paced environment- Professional personal presentation
