- UGL Defence is currently working towards the award of a fuel related Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance contract with Defence. We are recruiting a Fuels Operations Manager to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation.

**The Role**

The Fuel Operations Manager, reporting to our Fuel Supply and SIM Manager, will lead a small team of planners, based at UGL’s new Defence Hub in North Sydney. This role will be responsible for, but not limited to;
- Implementation of fuel supply plan and ensure team compliance across all Commonwealth policies
- Support the FS & SIM Manager with management of FS contract on behalf of the CoA
- Manage relationships with CoA, Fuel Services Branch, Supply contractor and the UGL DFN team
- Accountable for reporting in relation to FS performance and ongoing health status from the DFN for regular updates to relevant stakeholders
- Responsible for various teams including incident, surge and humanitarian/disaster management
- Regularly contribute in discussions and provide suggestions to improve process, systems or value add opportunities to Defence

**On Your First Day we expect you to bring to the team**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business/Commerce or significant industry experience
- Extensive experience in fuel supply chain operations and logistics in APAC with supply, scheduling or trading experience
- Effective stakeholder engagement with proven experience managing a blue chip, or Tier 1 customer
- In depth knowledge in Australia, with a global awareness of fuel supply and demand mass balance with a sound understanding of product quality specifications and assurance procedures
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain relevant security clearance
