**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
The GM, Fuel Markets & Pricing is responsible for developing and executing national and regional pricing strategies to optimise profitability, competitiveness, and market share across EG Australia’s Fuel & Convenience network.

This role requires a strong understanding of fuel market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, supplier relationships, and pricing technologies to drive strategic decisions that align with business objectives. A key focus will be enhancing pricing analytics and business intelligence tools to enable data-driven decision-making, improve forecasting, and provide actionable insights that support tactical execution and long-term strategic planning.

**RESPONSIBILITIES IN A SNAPSHOT**

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will:

- Build and manage relationships with strategic partners to drive successful outcomes.
- Provide thought leadership on national fuel pricing, analytics, and insights across a multi-platform retail network.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies for 500+ EBITDA-contributing sites, aligning with company goals for margin, growth, and competitiveness.
- Lead business transformation and analytics initiatives to modernise fuel pricing and operational processes, enabling data-driven decisions.
- Build and mentor a high-performing pricing team to execute strategic objectives and improve commercial performance.
- Design and enhance business intelligence tools for reporting, forecasting, and strategic insights.
- Offer insights on fuel demand, market trends, and regulatory changes, recommending strategic actions.
- Ensure compliance with ACCC regulations and analyze the impact of fuel excise and taxes on pricing.
- Identify underperforming areas and implement performance improvement plans.
- Provide commercial, contractual and risk management advice in collaboration with legal and relevant teams.
- Operate within contractual obligations and partner agreements (e.g., Ampol, Woolworths).
- Lead business development efforts and assess market opportunities with the Fuel Pricing and Fuel Management teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support supply continuity and margin optimisation.

**WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**

- Proven expertise in strategic pricing, market analysis, and financial modelling.
- Strong understanding of Australian fuel pricing regulations and ACCC compliance.
- Demonstrated success in leading pricing teams and developing pricing strategies at national and regional levels.
- Strong background in pricing technologies, analytics, and business intelligence tools.
- Experience in driving data-driven decision-making and improving forecasting accuracy.
