- UGL Defence is currently working towards the award of a fuel related Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance contract with Defence. We are recruiting a Strategic Planning Manager to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation.
**The Role**
The Strategic Planning Manager, reporting to our Fuel Supply and SIM Manager, will lead a small team of analysts, based at UGL’s new Defence Hub in North Sydney. This role will be responsible for, but not limited to;
- Manage Strategic Inventory Management (SIM) across the Defence Fuels Network (DFN)
- Implementation of fuel supply plan, reduction of overall cost to CoA in relation to fuel inventory and manage prevention of fuel fraud/theft across the DFN
- Drive continuous improvements in current methods and accuracy of demand forecasting
- Provide ongoing forecasting expertise to CoA by implement best industry practice, identifying risks, interfacing between Defence and supply contractor, and reviewing/adjusting safety and target stock levels
- Ensure team compliance across all Commonwealth policies
**On Your First Day we expect you to bring to the team**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business/Commerce or significant industry experience
- Proven experience in Supply Chain with knowledge of Order to Billing process
- Working experience in quality demand forecasting, fuel and working capital management
- Analytical thinker, strong communicator and ability to grasp complex problems and issues efficiently and effectively
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain relevant security clearance
