Ventia are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join Ventia’s Infrastructure Services Team. For this full-time permanent role, we consider various work locations (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth).
The primary focus of the role is taking responsibility of all front end commercial and contract management reviews and assessment for all new and major renewal opportunities, to ensure the commercial integrity of the line of business is maintained and enhanced through effectively managing all pre-contract commercial activities.

**Key Duties**
- Review tender documentation and contracts for all new contracts and major renewal contracts
- Prepare Commercial Tender Strategies in accordance with Work Winning procedures
- In conjunction with the business and bid team develop practical mitigations of each risk in accordance with company risk management protocols and businesses
- Review tender pricing with estimators and bid team
- Manage and provide support to tender procurement activities for new opportunities including preparation and review of quotes and contracts
- Prepare and review any relevant Gate approval documentation that may be necessary
- Work closely with legal to prepare any commercial departures that may be necessary
- Contribute to any process improvement initiatives across the division
- Actively support the business in developing win strategies for new opportunities
- Work closely with legal, treasury and finance to ensure all corporate requirements are met in all submissions

**Skills and Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Legal, Construction Management or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in contract and or commercial management roles
- Experience working in Utilities / civil construction industry highly desirable
- Proven track record in successfully delivering commercial outcomes
- Understanding of construction principals and legal arguments
- Proven ability to multi-task on multiple simultaneous projects
- Strong verbal and written communicator to peers, senior manager and clients
- Ability to work closely with Bid teams consisting of people you may not have worked with before
