**About the Role**
As the Coordinator, Heritage Art and Cultural Collections, you will contribute to the delivery of the Victorian Parliamentary Library's information and research service. This position is responsible for the conservation, education, curation and exhibition of the Heritage, Arts and cultural collections held at the Parliament of Victoria and from other institutions.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Manage the heritage, art and cultural collections by overseeing the care of the collection, including acquisition, loans, storage, display, environmental checks and an annual audit.
- Develop a contemporary heritage strategy to engage all stakeholders while protecting and preserving the collections.
- Facilitate working relationships with the relevant external GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) bodies to leverage expertise, skills and partnerships in the access and management of heritage collections.
- Using innovative spaces and technologies, develop, curate and deliver exhibitions that showcase the heritage and art assets.
- Identify conservation needs of the art, heritage and cultural collections and prioritise a schedule of work.

**About you**
You will ideally bring demonstrated experience in and advanced knowledge of managing heritage, art or cultural collections, alongside:

- Proven ability to share, deliver and promote awareness of heritage, arts and cultural collections in line with business objectives.
- Proven experience in developing, curating and delivering exhibitions in a range of formats.
- Proven record of delivering innovative programs in a dynamic environment of tight timeframes and limited resources.
- Proven success in supervising, developing and motivating the performance of individuals and teams in a changing environment to establish a cohesive and high performing service.
- Demonstrated experience in high level interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written including a capacity to develop strong relationships through influencing, negotiation and diplomacy.
