**About the role**:
Are you passionate about making a difference for nature? Do you have a knack for storytelling and making strategies to connect with different audiences? Join our Engagement Team and dive into a role where you'll participate in amplifying our brand and boosting donor support.
This role is part of the Engagement Team and, within in it, the Marketing & Communications Team, and works closely with a wide range of stakeholders to tell our stories in a way that engages our audience, to ultimately increase our brand awareness and support from our donors.
Reporting to the Communications Team Leader, the role focuses on traditional media and social media, sharing our stories and our work with the right audiences at the right time.
The social media and PR Coordinator is responsible for all media liaison
- writing media releases, pitching stories, liaising with internal and external stakeholders for comments and content and organising media trips. The role is also responsible for managing our media monitoring platforms and working with the communications team to develop plans for proactive and reactive media activities.
In addition to this, the role is responsible for the day-to-day management of our social media channels: managing the social media content calendar, curating content from team members, BHA colleagues and partners, scheduling content in our social media scheduling platforms, monitoring and reporting on results, and managing community engagement on our social media channels.
The role works closely with the rest of the communications team to ensure the overall content strategy is being implemented. The role also supports copy writing needs for other projects.
The Incumbent will work between Monday and Friday, with flexibility around hours.

**What you'll need to succeed**:
- Communications professional with a demonstrated experience in media (social and traditional) management.
- A passion for storytelling.
- Creative writer with outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of good visual communication including photography, video and graphic design.
- A strategic mindset and an ability to understand and build Bush Heritage's social media audiences and digital brand awareness.
- Respectful and informative collaborator with excellent project management skills.
- Demonstrated passion and experience in nature conservation and a commitment to the objectives and values of Bush Heritage.
- Great organisational skills, with demonstrated experience in effectively managing workflows, processes and proactively seeking opportunities to improve these.
- Multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment with proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
