About the role
The Project Officer, support the managers and principal project officers to deliver the Australian Curriculum professional learning program by:
- planning and coordinating the professional learning program, including liaising with other branches (e.g. PD & Events) to communicate requirements, secure bookings and advertise offerings to schools
- ensuring the organisation of all resources required for successful delivery of the professional learning program
- being responsive to school enquiries and questions in relation to the professional learning program.

About the team
The K-10 Curriculum and Assessment Branch is part of the QCAA's Curriculum Services Division and is responsible for:
- development of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and support for implementation of the P-10 Australian Curriculum
- delivery of professional development to support implementation of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and P-10 Australian Curriculum
- development of K-10 curriculum and assessment
Your key responsibilities
- Monitor and report on the timely completion of the program's milestones and contribute to regular progress reporting, including verbal and written briefings to management.
- Resolve problems and assist in the development and implementation of processes and systems to support effectiveness and efficiency of the professional learning project.
- Contribute to briefings and reports on matters related to the professional learning program.
- Develop, implement and monitor professional learning services in consultation with the Director and Managers to ensure identified needs are met.
- Provide timely advice (written and verbal) on matters related to the professional learning program, either as part of a team or independently.
- Attend meetings with QCAA officers to discuss, evaluate and revise processes, systems and procedures.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with other units within the QCAA, and participants in the professional learning project.
- Contribute to a performance management and development culture by participating in regular two-way feedback discussions with your manager and other staff.
- Undertake specific tasks as required to assist the QCAA in achieving its business outcomes, including using data to inform decisions.
