Local Government Opportunity for Project Officer for 6-9 months paying $56.94/hr

**Your New Company**

Government organisation seeking a temporary Project Officer. You’ll be working within a local government promisingly located in the growth corridor of the South East Queensland region. You’ll be working within the Community, Cultural and Economic Development Department working through the delivery phase of a Revitalisation project.

**Your New Role**

As the Project Officer, you will coordinate key projects, stakeholder engagement and initiatives in relation to the Revitalisation project. Working in a team of 6 and reporting to the Place Manager, duties include:

- Build on our existing partnerships, fostering community, and identifying and strengthening partnerships to build community capacity.
- Prepare written correspondence, including the drafting of program guidelines, letters and any project documentation.
- Provide procurement and contract management support e.g. procurement request forms, project and procurement planning
- Co-ordinate, support and encourage collaboration across different departments
- Develop and implement effective tools and processes for the delivery of the project.
- Research, design and develop tasks and activities.

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Experience in any of the following areas - communications, engagement, marketing, business or economic development and have experience in delivering projects.
- High level expertise in delivering and supporting projects, including building relationships with key stakeholders and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including writing, editing and proofreading for a range of audiences
- Demonstrated engagement experience with a variety of stakeholders
- Expertise in precinct-based, development or urban design projects is highly desirable
