**Project Officer - Data (6-month contract)**:
Location: Melbourne CBD

Hybrid work arrangement

**Your new company**:
Our client is a state government organisation that is responsible for delivering a range of services and programs to the community. They are looking for a Project Officer - Data to join their team on a 6-month contract basis, with a possibility of extension.

**Your new role**:
As a Project Officer - Data, you will:

- Analyse data to identify trends and potential risks to Victoria’s waste and recycling system.
- Update the hazardous waste data, supporting the integration of hazardous waste into developing data system, and analysis and data visualisation.
- Facilitate the integration of hazardous waste and facility data into new data system as it develops.
- Oversee data collection of hazardous waste into the system and develop protocols and delivery training for ongoing transfer.
- Undertake data analysis and projections and data visualisation.

**What you’ll need to succeed**:
To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, visualisation and data system management and development.
- A demonstrated ability to multitask while being resilient and adaptable to the demands of a fast-paced agile work environment is essential.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R, SAS or SPSS
- Knowledge of data management principles and practices, such as data quality, data governance, data security and data ethics
- Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
