About the role
We're not just about removing - we're building, we're connecting, we're revitalising, and the Financial Planning & Accounting team at LXRP are busier than ever. As such, we need a new Project Finance Analyst to join our team
The Project Finance Analyst contributes to the delivery of timely and accurate analysis and reporting of financial and other data in relation to the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP).
The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to engage effectively with multi-disciplined project support teams to understand key financial drivers of the LXRP.
On a day-to-day basis you will be building and managing productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as:

- Undertaking and supporting activities such as cyclical reporting and annual reporting.
- Analysing what is happening financially in each area of LX.
- Comparing spending to budget.
- Solving financial issues.
- Helping stakeholders to manage within the allocated budget in their team.
- Working to ensure financial decisions are understood and implemented.

The Project Finance Analyst position is a 3-year fixed term contract, paying between $90,067 - $102,192 + super with a hybrid working arrangement. This includes a combination of working from home and in the office in the CBD.

We are looking for individuals who have a strong sense of purpose in helping the LXRP team deliver on transforming the way Victorians live, work and travel.
We are also looking for someone who doesn't shy away from team collaboration as well as the confidence to work autonomously and make the role your own
Let's get technical What will we expect from you?
- Intermediate Office 365 skills, particularly in relation to Excel.
- Intermediate skills in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools. Experience with Oracle in a project environment will be highly regarded.
- A sound understanding of the accounting and budgeting principles and standards and how they are applied in the government sector.
