**About the Team**
As part of our dedicated and high performing Environment & Planning Directorate, the Environmental Health team work to ensure appropriate action is taken in response to breaches of food, pollution, public and environmental health legislation. The team effectively manages the environment in regard to these on a daily basis, in an attempt to improve the quality of lifestyle and the environment within the Local Government Area.

**About the Opportunity and What We Can Offer You**
- Permanent, Full time - 35 hours per week
- Full time equivalent salary from $62,997.18 - $72,987.43 per annum plus 10.5% superannuation

The Administration Officer contributes the effective operation of the Environment and Planning Directorate by providing administrative and work processing support to staff and providing customer service to the public in relation to the operations and functions of the Section of work. If you're someone who has a high level of word and excel processing skills we want to hear from you
In this role, some of your key accountabilities will be to:
- Provide general administrative support for the Section as required, including printing, filing, arranging couriers, forms, documents, staff equipment needs and processing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Register and maintain information on all regulated premises, including food and public health premises.
- Create and allocate sundry debtor statements for inspection, administration/registration fees associated with the Food Act, Public Health Act, POEO Act and LG Act.
- Undertake ABN, ACN, ASIC, Land Titles and other identification searches to obtain details on the correct legal entity to serve documentation upon.
- Liaise and assist with Revenue NSW debtor enquiries.
**About You**
You are someone who has completed Higher School Certificate or has an equivalent, and/or relevant tertiary business administration qualifications. You are someone who has a demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects concurrently, is a high-level analytical thinker and problem solver, and has excellent word processing skills using Microsoft Office software.
Essential
- Higher School Certificate or equivalent, and/or relevant tertiary business administration qualifications
- Experience in clerical and administrative functions.
- Excellent word and excel processing skills with experience using Microsoft Office software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to customer service and quality management.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively with other parts of the organisation.
- Ability to work unsupervised, as well as an ability to work in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work outside of and in addition to normal hours of work.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness.
- Must be fully vaccinated (minimum 2 doses) with an approved COVID-19 vaccine and provide Council with evidence of vaccination, or an accepted certified medical contraindication. Council reserves the right to confirm the validity of contraindications in accordance with NSW Health guidelines, and to direct a Worker to undertake an independent medical examination in relation to the issuance of a medical contraindication certificate.
