**The Opportunity**
We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Support Officer within the Education and Communications team. We manage communications; create and maintain publications in print and online; and coordinate and support learning activities.
**This position is expected to support the team by**:
- managing stock control and distribution of educational materials for events and stakeholders
- providing data entry and processing related to learning activities
- planning, coordinating and managing learning activities (in-person and online) for people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations.
**The responsibilities of the role include**:
- identifying and engaging facilitators and venues
- procuring and managing contracts for training materials, facilitators, venues and catering
- assisting facilitators with logistics and travel
- receiving and logging requests for training from external and internal sources
- supporting participants to register for, attend and give feedback on training activities, including booking travel
- creating webinars and workshops in virtual systems
- preparing and issuing certificates of attendance
- entering data from evaluations and feedback.
- previous experience with government procurement
- excellent data entry and processing skills
- well-developed customer service and stakeholder engagement
- strong written and communication skills as well as record keeping
- sound working knowledge of MS Office suite - Particularly Excel, Teams and SharePoint
- ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes
- demonstrated capability and commitment to continue to develop cultural competency
- ability to travel occasionally.

This position is required to liaise with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and service providers. You will require cultural competency, including:

- demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- demonstrated capability and commitment to continue to develop cultural competency.
**Eligibility**
