We are looking for an enthusiastic security professional with a flexible can-do attitude and a focus on achieving high quality outcomes. The Security Administration Officer will contribute to the delivery of the section’s security objectives and support the implementation of physical security under the Department’s security framework.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing first-level support to the PSS by triaging and responding to enquiries and requests in accordance with agreed response and escalation thresholds and Heath’s security policy framework.
- Providing policy advice in relation to physical security issues that aligns with the Protective Security Policy Framework.
- Processing security clearance actions including new requests, renewals, transfers and other related matters.
- Developing internal operating guidelines and procedures and maintaining accurate databases and registers to support the efficient and effective capture, analysis and reporting of security incidents, actions and performance information.
- Monitoring security system performance including identifying and reporting faults, running reports and analysing data to identify potential trends.
- Providing secretariat and administrative support to a range of strategic meetings and representational forums.
