**The Role**
Be part of a growing specialist team responsible for a range of governance functions looking at Navy maintenance requirements of both the current fleet and future needs. The successful applicant will undertake an important role in this newly established branch in contributing to the development of a governance framework for maintenance requirements, providing recommendations on governance activities to support the Director Requirements and Governance with decision making. Experience in working with a governance or policy development and implementation framework is preferred, and you will have well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

In this role you will:

- Identify key factors for influencing the governance of maintenance liability in the RAN.
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand their needs and facilitate the delivery of effective maintenance.
- Assist in developing policies, requirements and procedures, and the development of maintenance concepts throughout the capability lifecycle ensuring that the maintenance liability is acquitted effectively and efficiently.

**About our Team**
The newly formed Maintenance Requirements branch in Navy Engineering Division is seeking an experienced governance officer to work as part of a small team within the Maintenance Requirements Branch. Over time, the Maintenance Requirements Branch will develop into a diverse workforce that is responsible for developing and implementing Navy’s sovereign maintenance requirements and assurance functions for all current and future platforms and systems.

You will be someone that can cultivate productive relationships, deliver quality outputs and achieve results within defined timeframes. You will have some analyst experience and proven research skills. You will have well-developed written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders as stakeholder engagement and collaboration is critical to successful research. You will be a team player and be adaptable, supportive and considerate with all staff.
