- Campbell Park - ACT
**The Role**
The APS 6 position in the Directorate of Governance, Performance Analytics and Reporting provides corporate and administrative support; working under broad direction to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support work within an integrated workforce. The role allows for independent work, using your own judgement and initiative to achieve outcomes.
This is a rare opportunity to work with Senior Executives and be exposed to current issues, events, projects and the strategic direction of the organisation. The role has a high level of senior stakeholder engagement to achieve outcomes, and is required to be responsive, and anticipate needs and expectations. The position is required to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and at all times work with a high attention to detail.
**About our Team**
The Executive Secretariat Support team provides support to various SEG/FASSD committees, such as the SEG Work Health and Safety Committee, the Security Estate and Governance Meeting, Estate Prioritisation Forum and the Integrated Service Delivery Program Board.
Through effective governance, the team facilitates and supports the execution of each meeting via the management of outcomes, forward work plans and actions. Ensuring effective, robust and agile program governance, aligned to SDD and the broader Defence priorities, in accordance with the Service Delivery Division (SDD) Business Plan 2020-23.
The team plays a critical role in ensuring SDD has effective governance arrangements in place and that the activities, products and programs across the division are aligned to broader Departmental and Group Statutory planning and reporting requirements.
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic person to join our team. You must be a very good communicator with people from all backgrounds and levels of responsibility and be able to negotiate with, and manage others, to achieve goals.
A demonstrated ability to use Microsoft tools and a track record in secretariat, governance or coordination work would be advantageous, but a desire to learn and contribute is just as important. A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, follow process and write accurately and with purpose is essential.
We work as a happy and cohesive team and you must be willing to learn new things and pitch in to assist others, as well as accept help in turn. We will partner with you to develop your career and support training and flexible work.
