About the role
Our Analytics Team, within the Performance, Planning and Reporting department are responsible for partnering with the rest of the division to understand business objectives and needs, solving problems, and answering questions through data and analytics.
We are seeking an experienced Performance Manager to engage with the business to understand their data needs, measure their impact and or success of work and mapping out visualisation to support their stakeholders.
In this role you’ll be designing, developing, and implementing KPI’s and new measures of success within the division.
Please note this is a fulltime, max term opportunity for 16 months based out of our Collins Street office.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining processes, leveraging data and analytics to drive business value and innovation.
- You’ll lead the development and delivery of data analysis, insights and KPI’s to support Operations & Passenger Delivery business plan objectives
- Creation of dashboards and reporting to monitor change including executive summaries across the division
- Facilitate meetings, workshops and conduct presentations on recommendations, improvement initiatives and resolving problems for MTM.
- Analyse performance and success of changes, identify key learning's and assess impact of changes on performance, reliability and customer experience.
- Coach and mentor direct reports to uplift their analysis and insights capabilities.
**Qualifications**:
- Excellent communication (verbal & written), consulting, facilitation, and presentation skills of complex technical information to varying levels of stakeholders.
- Experience in Power BI, Python, R or SQL
- Proven experience in data analysis and modelling skills, including demonstrated ability to understand business requirements to support stakeholders in developing solutions to resolve challenges.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in project management and agile ways or working
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Analytics, Science or Engineering.
- Rail industry experience is favourable.
