The Performance & Reliability Manager is responsible for leading this core function while leading and managing a team providing critical performance and reliability testing capability to the benefit of the business and most importantly, our customers.

**About the role**
This role is responsible for the co-ordination of performance and stress testing with our delivery teams, ultimately to maintain a high level of system performance, reliability, and availability. This position is integral in supporting our teams to understand the requirements of our customers, the trends in their behaviours and how that translates to the relative platform capacity and scalability requirements to help the business meet this demand.
The role is key to the delivery of Sportsbet platform performance, with a particular focus on Major Sporting Events and leads a team of SME’s to ensure overall performance capability, availability, and scalability of Sportsbets core technology teams in the lead up to major sporting events..
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure the Performance Testing Team can plan, resource, and assist delivery and operational teams to test and report on performance testing outcomes
- Work collaboratively with delivery stakeholders to define performance and reliability engineering requirements, scope, workload models and recommended testing frameworks.
- Report and translate what various metrics mean to the customer across a range of stakeholders
- Integrate performance and quality engineering frameworks with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Dev Ops, automation, and various cloud technologies
- From CI/CD to cloud capability to data and data visualisation you’ll be expected to challenge yourself and the team to deliver quality code and capability in multiple facets and multiple languages
- Drive the understanding of the relationships of all the components in the wider technology landscape across different technology departments to improve knowledge of weaknesses and failure points
**About You**
We’re looking for an experienced Manager who can work with the team to ensure our systems are working at scale. Key requirements include:
- Proven leadership skills and experience to manage a high-performing technical team, including developing and retaining talent, building an open diverse and inclusive working environment where everyone feels welcome and valued
- Experience in creating or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins or GitHub and how to integrate testing within a pipeline
- Active knowledge of effectively utilizing version control software (Git)
- Understanding of networking terminology and concepts such differences between protocols, CIDRs and subnetting, network security
- Excellent people management and leadership skills. With the proven ability to develop and lead high performing technical teams, foster a positive team environment that encourages and recognises contribution, innovation, and success
- Experience in performance testing and analysis - Including Gatling.io and JMeter would be highly regarded
- Excellent Stakeholder management skills - you will be talking to the most senior managers within the business.
