As the Performance Manager, you will play a key role in driving service and performance, while fostering a high-performance culture across a large, diverse, and industrialised workforce. This role will provide expert guidance on a wide range of people management matters and will look at continuous improvement on conduct, performance and people related matters. A core responsibility includes end-to-end case management, covering performance and misconduct issues, , and decision-making on outcomes. The role also oversees, safety-related matters such as fitness for work, workers' compensation, and return-to-work plans.
This role is responsible for prioritising focus areas aligned to business needs, and building capability uplift programs to support day-of-operations performance.
In addition, the role will ensure compliance and assurance standards are met, while supporting the upskilling frontline leaders. It will contribute to the governance of customer service, safety, performance, and training systems, and leads initiatives to maintain and improve operational standards. A strong focus on employee engagement and workplace culture is essential.
You'll have –
- Proven people leadership skills with ability to coach and develop leaders
- Strong ability to lead, motivate and drive positive outcomes with frontline teams and managers
- Proven capability to build effective teams and support skill development
- Strong relationship management skills, able to build rapport and explain the reasons
and rationale behind specific actions - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment and workplace laws, and confidence managing complex cases consistently
- Highly developed project, people, and performance management experience with the ability to facilitate collaboration and drive change initiatives
- A strong commitment to continuous improvement, with a passion for safety and creating a safe workplace
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate, drive and influence outcomes of key people
programs - Previous experience within Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Case Management would be advantageous
