Qantas Ground Services (QGS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas Airways and we’re responsible for providing ground handling and freight services to the Qantas Group.

As the **Performance Manager** you will be responsible in leading and inspiring a team of Ground Staff in achieving the QGS operational and business objectives for Melbourne and Perth. This role is pivotal in driving team performance, engagement, and development, while overseeing day-of-operations escalations and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of employee performance, including attendance, fitness for work, and disciplinary matters, fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce. With a strong focus on communication and capability development, you’ll support individuals and teams to meet performance criteria and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- 4+ years’ experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams, with strong leadership in a ‘just culture’ environment
- Exceptional communication, engaging effectively with stakeholders, peers, and frontline staff
- Proven case management and employee performance oversight, including disciplinary, attendance, and fitness-for-work matters
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, using data to drive decisions and facilitate outcomes
- Highly organised and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and motivate others under pressure
- Sound judgment, discretion, and integrity, with a commitment to confidentiality and coaching others
