**About us**

Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney’s The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District. The Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land - the Gadigal people of the Eora nation. The Gallery attracts around 1 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.

With our expanded campus recent opening the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

**About the Role**

Manage strategic and operational systems and contracts to meet organisational objectives related to Facilities Management, including alignment with the NSW Asset Management Policy Framework. The position is responsible for coordinating and reporting against the Gallery's Asset Management Framework and activities, managing relevant procurement process and ensuring compliance across all Gallery built assets.

**What technical / soft skills you require**
- Tertiary qualifications in a field related to facilities management, engineering, building or construction, and/or equivalent relevant industry experience
- Experience in managing facilities, security, emergency management systems, construction or engineering based projects using a contemporary project management methodology.
- At least five years experience in a similar senior role in a complex and large organization
- Well-developed understanding of technical issues relating to building and facilities, including understanding heritage buildings, the operation and maintenance of fire services, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems; understanding of energy reduction, waste recycling, and contract management.
- Highly developed project management skills within a complex multi-use facility.
