About the role
Katalyst Facilities Management is seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Manager to join our team in Sydney, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of a residential building, ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and efficient environment for all tenants and visitors.
What you'll be doing
- Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the building, including coordinating contractors and service providers
- Monitoring and managing the building's systems, such as mechanical ventilation, plumbing, and electrical, to ensure optimal performance
- Handling tenant inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Assisting to prepare the building's budget,
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Liaising with the property owner, strata committee, and other stakeholders to address any concerns or requirements
- Supervising and coordinating the work of any on-site staff or contractors
What we're looking for
- Minimum 12 months of experience as a building manager,
- Good knowledge of building maintenance, systems, and operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
- Knowledge in using building management software and other relevant tools
- A relevant tertiary qualification in property management, building management, or a related field
