Business Group Leader

**As Melbourne continues to grow and change, an opportunity exists to lead and expand a team of committed professionals to provide civil engineering, design and project management services to a diverse range of projects in the Urban Development and Civil Infrastructure sectors.**

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual for a key leadership position within our Victorian region**:Business Group Leader, Civil and Urban Infrastructure.**

Victoria’s **Civil and Urban Infrastructure **team plans, designs and builds the civil infrastructure that supports urban development and key sectors such as Renewable Energy, Transport and Defence. Our multidisciplinary project teams have responsibility for feasibility to construction output and project and design delivery including technical outcomes, budgets and timeliness. The team works across all five of GHD’s market sectors and provides advice, design and construction phase services for earthworks, roads, drainage, sewer & water reticulation and coordination of utility services for a range of civil infrastructure and urban renewal projects.

We are looking for individuals who have **built a strong network within the property sector **and are able to drive business opportunities within the GHD business, within the local market and beyond whilst enjoying a commitment to building our brand as a strong technical authority with a client-led mindset.

**In this role you will**:

- Lead, manage and grow our $3.5 million Civil and Urban Infrastructure business.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and across GHD
- Drive a strong safety culture
- Develop and achieve business plan objectives and targets
- Develop and mentor a team of over 20 professionals across five offices.

**What would you bring to the team?**
- Appropriate degree or diploma supported by a strong technical background in the design of civil infrastructure
- Ability to lead, mentor and develop a talented team to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
- Proactive, professional, collaborative and personable approach.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Commercially astute
- High-level market awareness and business development skills and ideally well-established personal relationships with potential clients.
