The Group Cost Lead is responsible for both (i) combining with the Group Performance Management Lead in ensuring the Deputy and Group CFO are adequately supported to advise, guide and influence the Group CEO and other ExCo members on all cost related matters; and (ii) Leading a team of Group aligned Cost CoE staff.

Some of the responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Overseeing all investment management related Finance processes within the Cost COE, so that there is appropriate governance, control and integrity in relation to investment processes and related financials
Support other members of the Cost CoE LT in carrying out their responsibilities for managing day-to-day functional aspects of the team - balancing resource allocation decisions with protecting financial integrity, delivering quality analysis, whilst allowing sufficient capacity to advance the process improvement agenda.
Providing Decision Support and Financial Control services covering financial resource allocation, budgeting & target setting, analysis, reporting, compliance & governance, and continuous process improvement.
Supporting delivery of Group level operational aspects of Finance in line with agreed parameters; and meeting bank-wide financial performance goals by working together as one Finance function, connected across Divisions and disciplines - leveraging scale and ‘one way of doing things’ to increase agility, balancing business value with being well-managed.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Leadership - Experience in a Senior Finance or Business leadership role
Stakeholder Management/Influencing - Demonstrated experience influencing Senior Executives and driving business performance through the provision of strategic and commercial advice
Growing teams - Successfully built high performing teams, or managed significant turn-around in team performance
Working with ambiguity - Navigated a path and brought others on the journey in complex and ambiguous environments
Portfolio planning - Planned the performance of a portfolio of work to ensure realisation of value, effective & efficient delivery and identified, scoped, planned and executed large change programs on time and within budget
Financial Processes - Delivered budgeting, financial planning and forecasting processes; and successfully implemented well-managed policies and procedures in Finance
Financial Analysis - Completed financial analysis and providing data-led, fact-based advice, insight, and early warning on performance
