**We are offering the unique opportunity to be a leader within the Variety SA event management team who deliver some of the biggest and most successful Charity Events in SA.**
This part time role (0.8 FTE) is a key leadership position within our elite events team that manages all aspects of our iconic BASH event - the largest charity fundraising event in South Australia. Responsible for our most famous motoring event; The Bash and continuing the development of the experience, this role will appeal to dynamic event managers with a love of people, travel and making a difference. This position requires the highest standards of logístical, operational and administrative coordination for the Variety motoring event/s as well as all related sub events. This position also provides support when required to all other Variety motoring events as required. The role is for someone who is organised, creative, driven to succeed and passionate about making a real difference to the issues facing children in need. The core purpose of these role is to contribute to the successful delivery of Variety SA's major fundraising events. This position works very closely with the Event Chair, volunteer event committee, entrants and collaborates with relevant third party partners including sponsors, suppliers, property owners and councils. Furthermore you will be part of the senior Variety management team to ensure revenue targets and event KPI’s are achieved.
The Event Manager will manage and work closely with their appointed Event coordinator(s) and greater team to ensure the commercial success of Variety marquee events.
Variety SA is looking for an experienced Senior Event Manager extraordinaire with exceptional time management, prioritisation and communication skills together with a wicked eye for detail. Ideally you want to use your skill set to expand the impact Variety has on the community and specifically children in need in SA. A current drivers licence is essential and the flexibility to work longer hours when needed. (including interstate/intrastate travel and weekend/after hours events)
**Essential Requirements**:
- Manage the logistics to move 350 people safely and securely over 3000kms in 8 days
- **5**+ years demonstrated senior level experience in planning and executing a high-volume event calendar
- Strong work ethic
- High attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills that are effective at all levels
- Corporate relationship management and client liaison
- Complement the Variety team culture with a desire to use your skills to make a positive impact
