Quality Manager

**Our Opportunity** Star Group is offering an outstanding opportunity for A Quality Manager to join our team The Quality Manager will report to the Head of Operations, Strategy, and Innovation and will lead, champion, and provide strategic guidance on the Quality Process to all Project, Divisional and Business Unit teams. **Our Mission & Values** The most valuable asset of our organisation is our employees. At Star Group, we work hard to ensure that our people are supported by their team and management in order to create an environment in which skills can develop for the benefit of our people, projects and the organisation. **Your new Role** - Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management framework in accordance with Project/Corporate requirements. - Monitor and report to Executive, Projects and other stakeholders on the health and status of Quality across the portfolio. - Development of various executive level papers and presentations - Monitor progress to ensure the project execution is on schedule and within quality and cost estimates and any change management processes are well understood and followed. - Identification, review and approval of Contractor and Supplier Quality Deliverables. - Facilitate Project inductions and training in quality systems and processes to new and existing staff. - Ensure Project understanding and implementation of quality systems & processes. - Ensure that a Project Audit Schedules are in place and ensure that all the requirements of the quality programme and project quality plan are implemented and maintained. - Plan & conduct Project Quality Audits and reporting in accordance with Project and Business Unit requirements and ensure corrective actions are implemented. - Provide support for Quality within all functions throughout the Project, promoting the importance of Quality for project performance. - Build & maintain a healthy working relationship with all Project and Business Unit management. - Develop and enhance relationships with both internal and external client representatives. - Ensure all client requirements are met or exceeded where applicable. - Actively participate in communication forums with the client and/or supplier / subcontractor representatives. - Provide leadership, direction, guidance, and support to assigned work team. - Continually monitor work team, promoting learning and development opportunities in support of current and future project requirements and their own career development opportunities. - Promote a positive Quality culture and acceptance of the system amongst all Project activity and staff. - Ensure full compliance with Companies quality, health, safety and environment policies and procedures throughout all aspects of the operations to embed a Zero Harm safety culture. **The Qualifications & Experience We Are Seeking** - University degree or accredited diploma in Quality Assurance - Qualifications in Electrotechnology and/or significant construction Quality/Environment Management Experience - Minimum 5 years’ experience in a role of Quality Management - Experience providing quality management throughout design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start up. - Experience with risk-based Quality assessment. - High level written skills with excellent attention to detail. - Demonstrated experience in leading quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC) and ISO 9000-based Quality Management Systems. - Extensive experience in Quality Management System Lead Audit roles - Proven ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. - Demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution skills and negotiation skills. - Ability to influence in a diverse workforce through a practical pragmatic approach. - Experience in monitoring and reviewing existing processes and procedures and implementing changes to improve operational efficiencies. **The Rewards For Your Hard Work** - 12 additional leave days (Leisure Days) per year - Part of a collaborative and inclusive team - We offer a serious commitment to personal development and career progression through ongoing training. - Participation in regular social (e.g., monthly BBQs), inclusion & diversity events (e.g., Harmony Day luncheon) and initiatives as well as charity events (e.g., Pink Ribbon Day) - Access to our Employee Assistance Programs - The ability to work in a collaborative, supportive team environment **And if you're not yet convinced...** "I have been with Star for over 15 years and have worked in multiple business divisions and countless projects across Sydney and NSW.
