**The Team**

Clyde & Co is an international law firm, with the largest, dedicated cyber incident response practice in Australia. We are a law firm, but we're not your average law firm and we have very clear objective of being a go-to trusted advisor to clients for managing cyber risk, from more than just the law.

The team advises small, medium, and large organisations operating across Australia and New Zealand, regionally and globally in response to a range of cyber incidents, as well as assisting clients on matters of privacy compliance, cyber incident readiness and resilience exercises. In recent times, the team has advised on over 1,800 incidents, including several the highest profile and complex incidents.

The broader Cyber, Advisory, Financial Lines & Digital Law team is led by John Moran, Reece Corbett-Wilkins, Richard Berkahn, Alec Christie, and Chris McLaughlin, who are all internationally recognised in their fields. The team is known for creating supportive platforms for team members to succeed, with a very strong focus on collaborative culture, personal/professional development, and client facing problem solving.

**About the role**

The Client Onboarding Specialist reports to the Director of Business Operations and is part of a growing operations team within Technology & Media that optimises client experience by building and evolving world class capabilities for engaging new clients and opening new matters. The role is based in our Sydney office and will cover activity across our Australian offices (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth).

**Key responsibilities**

Primary purpose: The Client Onboarding Specialist takes responsibility for all aspects of client onboarding. Providing seamless support to Partners, fee earners and the wider practice to ensure accuracy of data, adherence to internal processes and client agreements, and efficiency during the time critical client inception stage.

**Client Onboarding**
- Preparing client onboarding materials for client onboarding briefings
- Coordinating client onboarding calendar appointments.
- Completing the new client and matter onboarding process and conflict checking processes
- Updating HighQ with new client and matter records.
- Updating the master Smartsheet practice calendar with all client onboarding activities
- Updating Milepost reports with new matter information.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the firm.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues within the practice as well as across other finance and business support teams
- Maintaining and developing client onboarding process documentation.
- Providing a supremely positive first impression for our clients.
- Training team members on the client onboarding processes.
- Working with the Operations Executive and Director of Operations to identify and execute process improvements.

**Essential/Desirable skills and experience**

We would like you to have the following skills and experience:

- A minimum 1 years' experience, at least one of the following:

-- legal services finance, e.g. opening legal matters or billing
- an operational role with a demonstrable track record of consistent delivery, continuous improvement and problem solving
- insurance claims
- Be highly motivated with a positive, 'can do' attitude
- Be committed to quality and attention to detail
- Be a clear, concise written and verbal communicator
- Enjoy working in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Have demonstrated team and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently
- Have knowledge of Thomson Reuters Elite 3E (highly advantageous but not essential).
