**The Opportunity**

As an external corporate communications manager, you’ll be responsible for promoting The Arnott’s Group’s brand and corporate interests to a range of diverse external audiences.

Additionally, you will work closely with the leadership team to shape The Arnott’s Group's public image and reputation

This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

**The Accountabilities**
- Lead the external communications strategy and execution for corporate projects by providing specific and timely information and advice to deliver positive stories, favourable coverage and government engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant media opinion leaders for seamless communications on business decisions and objectives
- Serve as media liaison and formal spokesperson, conducting briefings, media engagements and press conferences as needed
- Identify story opportunities and develop content to be disseminated via Arnott’s Group LinkedIn, website, press releases and any other external distribution channels
- Research and understand key business challenges, news/media environment, target audiences, competitive activity, and environmental factors that impact programs within the business including management of corporate media monitoring

**The Ingredients for Success**

Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role:

- Professional experience of 5+ years in a similar role in external communications
- Experience using digital and traditional communications channels and tools
- Professional experience in managing the planning, researching, writing, layout, coordination and production of publication materials
- Proven experience using senior research and writing skills to inform, educate and influence communications audiences
- Proven experience in complex problem-solving and managing multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment
- Government relations experience is valuable, but not required
