Corporate Communications Specialist Role

This pivotal position will lead comprehensive communication strategies across public relations, executive communications, general corporate communications, and brand programs.

  • This role is responsible for developing and executing the external communications plan and strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders and agencies.
  • The ideal candidate will drive effective communication campaigns across both consumer and B2B brands, leveraging research and data insights to inform messaging.
  • The successful applicant will manage proactive media outreach and reactive media queries to secure positive media coverage.
  • A critical aspect of this role is leading issues management, effectively dealing with media, customers, and local and global stakeholders as required.
  • This specialist will prepare and coach key spokespeople on messaging and ensure they are effective brand ambassadors.
  • As gatekeeper of Equifax messaging, this role ensures thorough assessment before external release.
  • This trusted advisor will serve as a key partner to the Group MD and leadership team on all communication matters.
  • The role involves preparing written speeches for the Group MD and other members of the Leadership Team for external events and sponsorships where applicable.
  • Presentations and positioning statements for external use will be reviewed and managed by this specialist.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) communications will be handled by this role, working closely with newly acquired organisations on positioning messaging.
  • This specialist will collaborate with the Internal Communications Manager to develop content for local and global internal communications platforms.
  • The Equifax brand will be managed by this individual, ensuring adherence to guidelines in both online and offline mediums.

About This Opportunity
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in senior corporate PR and media roles, either agency or in-house, is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex issues and crisis communications effectively.
  • Strong media relations skills with a network of media contacts.
  • Experience in coaching and preparing senior leaders for media and speaking engagements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
